Peripediatrics Research Society
The Peripediatrics Research Society (PRS) is a specialized arm of CCNEIR dedicated to advancing integrative research in clinical perinatology and pediatric biology. By bringing together clinicians, biologists, epidemiologists, and data scientists, PRS promotes high-impact, translational studies aimed at improving maternal and neonatal outcomes while establishing a strong foundation for lifelong child health. The society is led by Dr. Mohammad Nazmul Hasan Maziz, Associate Professor at the Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine, Malaysia, whose academic leadership and clinical insight guide PRS’s research vision and collaborative initiatives.
About the Leader
Our Mission
Focus Areas
- Perinatal Physiology & Pathophysiology: Investigating maternal–fetal interactions, placental function, and biomarkers for early detection of complications.
- Neonatal Outcomes & Interventions: Evaluating medical, nutritional, and technological interventions to optimize survival and development in preterm and at-risk newborns.
- Pediatric Growth & Development: Longitudinal studies on cognitive, motor, and immune system development from infancy through childhood.
- Translational Genomics & Bioinformatics: Applying genomics, epigenetics, and computational modeling to uncover molecular drivers of pediatric diseases.
Key Initiatives
Global Cohort Consortium
A multi-center network pooling anonymized maternal and neonatal data from 20+ hospitals across five continents to identify universal and region-specific risk factors.Integrative Trial Platform
Adaptive clinical trials testing novel therapies—such as microbiome-targeted probiotics and neuroprotective agents—in resource-diverse settings.Capacity-Building Workshops
Hands-on training in advanced neonatal ultrasound, genomic data analysis, and grant-writing for early-career investigators.Open Data Portal
A secure, user-friendly repository where validated datasets, protocols, and analytical scripts are shared under FAIR principles.

The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform that integrates clinical practice, biological research, and population-level evidence to improve early-life health outcomes.
Scope and focus areas include:
- Clinical perinatology and neonatal medicine
- Pediatric biology, growth, and developmental programming
- Maternal–fetal health and pregnancy-related disorders
- Neonatal intensive care practices and outcome optimization
- Pediatric infectious diseases, immunology, and microbiology
- Epidemiology and public health perspectives in child health
- Data-driven and AI-assisted approaches in perinatal and pediatric research
Impact at a Glance
- 50+ published multi-center studies in leading journals
- 2,000+ de-identified patient records in our data consortium
